I have a simple business I want to sell. I have a buyer. Do I really need an attorney

simple businessIt is always advisable to speak with an attorney to represent you in any business transaction. However, if the sale price of the business, as a practical matter,, is less than $2,500.00 then hiring an attorney or consulting with an attorney may not be practical.

A business that is sold for more than $2,500.00 should have some kind of a review by an attorney. An attorney can readily, and in most cases, inexpensible protect you from future liability as a result of the sale. Such things to avaid are subjecting yourself to liability as a result of misrepresentations or other claims a disgruntled buyer may have if the business he or she bought were to tank.

Client Review

“I continue to be impressed and grateful for Maurice Arcadier’s depth of knowledge, methodical, measured and fair legal guidance. I’ve worked and conducted business across 15 countries, but here at home, he and his law firm feel just as much business partners as legal counsel. The perspective and consideration he offers remains more-than-valuable to me as I navigate each new business endeavor. I would wholeheartedly recommend Maurice to anyone !”
