The immigration and naturalization services require applicants for greencards, naturalization, and other petitions, to be fingerprinted – or, in INS lingo, to have their biometrics taken. The typical cost for biometrics is $85 and it is done at the district office of INS. In Central Florida, the location where you can be fingerprinted is in Orlando Florida. You will be sent your own specific appointment time and it is very important that you timely arrive. If you have an emergency of sorts, you may get a reschedulement of your appointment.
Once you arrive at the Orlando INS district office, make sure to leave all electronic devices, including cell phones in your car, as you will not be allowed inside with it.
